Instructions

Snout: With B, ch 2.

  • 1st rnd: (RS). 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Join with sl st to first sc.
  • 2nd rnd: Ch 1. 2 sc in each sc around. Join with sl st to first sc.
  • 3rd rnd: Ch 1. 2 sc in first sc. * 1 sc in next sc. 2 sc in next sc. Rep from * around. Join with sl st to first sc
  • 4th rnd: Ch 1. 2 sc in first sc. * 1 sc in each of next 2 sc. 2 sc in next sc. Rep from * to last 2 sc. 1 sc in each of next 2 sc. Join with sl st to first sc. 24 sc.
  • Slipper: With MC, RS of Snout facing, join with sl st to top of snout
  • 1st row: Working into back loops only, 1 sc in 1st sc. * 2 sc in next sc. 1 sc in next sc. Rep from * to last sc. 2 sc in last sc. 36 sc. Turn.
  • Next row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each of first 4 sc. *2 sc in next sc. 1 sc in each of next 8 sc. Rep from * to last 5 sc. 2 sc in next sc. 1 sc in each of last 4 sc. Turn.
  • Next row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each of first 4 sc. *2 sc in next sc. 1 sc in each of next 9 sc. Rep from * to last 6 sc. 2 sc in next sc. 1 sc in each of last 5 sc. Turn.

  • Next row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each of first 4 sc. *2 sc in next sc. 1 sc in each of next 10 sc. Rep from * to last 7 sc. 2 sc in next sc. 1 sc in each of last 6 sc. Turn.
  • Continue in this manner, inc 4 sts evenly spaced in every row until there are 64 sts in row. Continue even in sc until work from beg measures 10 ½ ins (27 cm), ending with RS facing for next row.
  • Next row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each of first 4 sc. *Draw up a loop in each of next 2 sts. Yoh and draw through all loops on hook – sc2tog made. 1 sc in each of next 4 sc. Rep from * to end of row. Turn.
  • Next row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each of first 4 sc. *Sc2tog over next 2 sts. 1 sc in each of next 3 sc. Rep from * to end of row. Turn.
  • Next row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each of first 4 sc. *Sc2tog over next 2 sts. 1 sc in each of next 2 sc. Rep from * to end of row. Turn. Continue in this manner, dec 10 sts evenly spaced in every row until there are 4 sts in row. Fasten off. (Heel).
  • Lining: With MC, ch 5 (toe).
  • 1st row: (RS). 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each ch to end of ch. 4 sc. Turn.
  • 2nd row: Ch 1. 2 sc in each sc to end of row. 8 sc. Turn
  • 3rd row: Ch 1. 2 sc in first sc. * 2 sc in next sc. 1 sc in next sc. Rep from * to last st. 2 sc in last st. Turn
  • 4th row: Ch 1. 2 sc in each of first 2 sc. *2 sc in next sc. 1 sc in each next 2 sc. Rep from * to last st. 2 sc in last st. Turn. Continue in this manner, inc 4 sts evenly spaced in every row until there are 32 sts in row. Continue even in sc until work from beg measures 8 ½ ins (22 cm), ending with RS facing for next row.
  • Next row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each of first 2 sc. *Sc2tog over next 2 sts. 1 sc in each of next 3 sc. Rep from * to end of row. Turn.
  • Next row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each of first 2 sc. *Sc2tog over next 2 sts. 1 sc in each of next 2 sc. Rep from * to end of row. Turn.
  • Next row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each of first 2 sc. *Sc2tog over next 2 sts. 1 sc in next sc. Rep from * to end of row. Turn.
  • Next row: Ch 1. *Sc2tog over next 2 sts. Rep from * to end of row. Turn
  • Next row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each of first sc. *Sc2tog over next 2 sts. Rep from * to end of row. Turn. 4 sc. Fasten off. (Heel).
  • Spots: (make 8) With A, ch 2. Work from ** to ** as given for Snout.
  • Ears: (make 4) With MC, ch 4.
  • 1st row: (RS). 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each ch to end of ch. 3 sc. Turn.
  • 2nd row: Ch 1. 2 sc in 1st2 sc. 1 sc in next4 sc. 2 sc in last sc. 5 sc. Turn. Work 4 rows even in sc.
  • Next row: Ch 1. Sc2tog over 1st 2 sc. 1 sc in next sc. Sc2tog over last 2 sc. 3 sc. Turn.
  • Next row: Ch 1. Draw up a loop in each of rem 3 sc. Yoh and draw through all loops on hook. Fasten off.
  • Horns: (make 2) With C, ch 2.
  • 1st row: (RS). 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. Turn. Work 6 rnds even in sc. Fasten off.
  • Finishing: Sew 5 ins [13 cm] of center seam from snout to foot opening. Sew 1 ½ ins [4 cm] of center seam from heel to foot opening. Sew 2 ½ ins [6 cm] of center lining seam from toe to foot opening. Sew 1 ½ ins (4 cm) of center lining seam from heel to foot opening.
  • Stuff Slipper and insert lining. Join Slipper and lining at foot opening as follows: With MC join with sl st through both thicknesses at any sc along foot opening. Work 1 row of sc around. Join with sl st to 1st sc. Fasten off. Attach Horns, Ears, Eyes and Spots as illustrated.

Tip: Measurement: One size to fit foot length 8 ins (20cm) to 9H ins (24 cm)

Gauge: 14 sc and 16 rows = 4 ins (10 cm)
